Native American middle and high school students tell us what they want to learn and when they are free. We match them with a volunteer tutor for live online sessions. It is always free.

How it works

From sign-up to your first session

Tell us what you need

Students pick a subject, describe what's hard, and mark the hours they're free each week.

We find a match

Our matching looks at subject, grade level, shared free time, and what you wrote, then ranks the tutors who fit best.

Both sides agree

Students can choose a tutor, and tutors can offer to help. Nothing is set until both say yes.

A coordinator sets up your meeting room and schedule, and sessions begin.

Safety first

Built for students under 18

Most of our students and many of our tutors are minors, so we built the program around that.

  • Parent or guardian permission. Students and volunteers under 18 need a parent or guardian to approve by email before they are matched.
  • Screened volunteers. A coordinator reviews every tutor application before that tutor can be matched.
  • First names only. Students and tutors see each other's first name and last initial. Emails and phone numbers stay private.
  • Coordinator-run meetings. Sessions happen on meeting links our coordinators set up, and families are copied on match emails.
